Project: Espíritu Santo´s Elevator, from Valparaíso Chile.

The workshop was part of the Ocho al Cubo project organized by Interdesign S.A together with the Federico Santa María Technical University and considered the participation of prominent Japanese architects, namely:

 

Kazuyo Sejima, Ryue Nishizawa, Kengo Kuma, Sou Fujimoto, Yoshiharu Tsukamoto (Atelier Bow Wow), Junya Ishigami, Akihisa Hirata, Maki Onishi, Yuki Hyakuda.
 

The participating universities were UCH, PUC, UDD, UDP, UFT, UMayor, USS, and UTFSM. Each university was represented by 16 students made up of teams of 4 in a design work associated with the Valparaíso elevators that also included conferences, field trips and work with the aforementioned Japanese architects.
